This is the pantry. Where alll the food stuff comes to life. Humans need 3 things to survive, air, water, and food. most everyone on earth interacts with food multiple times a day, and we are surrounded by food its one oth the constantats in life if food and food imagry. i think when we are so constantly bombarded with imagry we loss our ability to percive it its form in an objective and critical way. with enough exposure what is extrodanary becomes mundane. Droo's pantry aims to take these forms that we have all seen millions of times and present them in a new way. by taking these forms and presenting them in a way thats new my hope is that you will rediscover them as beautiful objects and share that with jopy with others.

Natural Snacks

These pices take on the forms of naturally ocuring food items like the very first one I made, the avocado earings. As they say mother nature is the best artist so im just doing my best to copy some of her works!

Mass Produced

We are surrounding by food thats not really food mass produced junk its become so ubiquitous that these shapes and these forms have become meaninless. its facinating, next time you eat a goldfish cracker think about the fact that someone created that design and that shape and think about how many people have seen it and how many times its been reproduced. the humble goldfish has been reproduced more than any other art work on in exsistance. We live in a time of unprecidented quantity, a time where we are inundated with millions of forms and colors like our ancestors coun=ldnt even inagine. So im trying to take these familiar forms and present them in fresh way, a way that stirs something inside of you, something that mixes with familiarity with noivelty. and unlike their snak counter parts each of these piecies is hand made!
